A contemporary custom styled home by PDC Architects
The Client approached the Architects with the idea of designing a modern contemporary house with a monochrome palette as the base of design. Located at Ahmedabad, this bungalow has been custom styled into a storied structure.
The residence has been designed as an abode to suit the clients needs. The vestibule is broken open to the full panorama view of the garden through a wooden frame with solid teak wood doors and carved metal plate.
Upon entering, the user is welcomed into a light and airy living room with furniture and rugs adding a pop of colour to the otherwise neutral palette. The flooring has been specifically finished in dark tones contrasting the light walls and teak wood panelling.
The Kitchen area features a bright yellow colored partition separating the praying area and the breakfast counter.
A contemporary black metal and wooden staircase unfurls to interlock the lower and upper level with black glossy stone flooring. The master bedroom has a partially raised section finished in wooden flooring acting as a sitting area. This overlooks the garden through the windows flooding the interiors with daylight. In continuation with the monochromatic theme, the daughter’s bedroom breaks the monotony with a splash of pink hues in fabric. The bedroom adjacent to the terrace highlights the pitched roof with the use of modern style rafters and black colored track lights giving a bold touch to the son’s bedroom.
